Our dedicated teams, many of whom have been with us for decades too, are here to guide and work with you through the entire process – from finding your perfect plot to designing and building your ideal home – homes that settle gently into the landscape and become part of their surroundings. Building for you
We are a family run business and pride ourselves on being friendly, creative, professional and fair. We want you to enjoy living in your home, and to enjoy the journey along the way. Our outstanding customer service, clear communication, flexible contracts and payment schedules give you confidence and peace of mind.
Our construction packages include ‘frame only’ and ‘water tight’ contracts, and fully project managed and fixed price ‘turnkey’ services. With our Custom Build Service you have a complete design & construction package, project managed by Border Oak using our own labour and materials, all for a fixed price.
We are also happy to work with architects and developers and as well as working across the UK, we have undertaken numerous projects in Europe, the USA and Far East.

Award-winning contemporary barn
This modest and contemporary oak framed barn in a rural village on the Herefordshire and Shropshire border won the ‘Spirit of Self-Build’ 2023 Homebuilding and Renovating Award.
Our client, Roxy, is a talented young builder. We provided the superstructure – oak frame, roof structure and encapsulation panels – and Roxy created this beautiful contemporary two bedroom Border Oak barn for herself.
