Border Oak Porches

The Border Oak porch was designed by our founder John Greene, for his daughter Merry, inspired by the lych gate of the church where Merry and Ben married. The young couple’s first home – Pearmain Cottage – featured on Channel 4’s Grand Designs back in 2003 with the porch taking centre stage. Since then our porch portfolio has grown – yet our commitment to quality, detail and craftsmanship have been faithfully maintained.

We have a range of sizes and styles that are available as a kit. Bespoke designs are available but tend to be more expensive due to the design and engineering required.

Porch Kits

Our oak frame porch kit provides all of the oak pieces – already cut, shaped and jointed – and the oak pegs required to join the frame.  We have designed and made our porches with DIY self assembly in mind, but a good builder will also be able to help you. Due to the timelessness of oak and the high quality of our craftsmanship we are confident that our porches can be added to almost any kind of existing building across the UK – and will add beauty, a sense of arrival and practicality to you home.

How to Order

Take a look at our porch portfolio and decide which dimensions and style work best for your home. Drop us an email or give us a call and we can process your order, arrange delivery and take payment. Our workshop will then make your porch, by hand, using the finest green oak and traditional carpentry skills, ready for delivery or collection.
